Dr. Starsiak provides comprehensive primary care alongside his osteopathic work — managing acute illnesses, chronic conditions, laboratory work, imaging orders, specialist referrals, and preventive care. Because he practices with a small patient panel, he can offer the kind of direct access and thorough attention that has largely disappeared from conventional medicine.
Primary care here is informed by functional medicine principles — looking upstream at the root causes of chronic conditions rather than simply managing symptoms with prescriptions. When possible, Dr. Starsiak integrates Ayurvedic and nutritional approaches alongside conventional medicine, choosing the most appropriate tool for each situation.
Established patients can add direct access to Dr. Starsiak through an optional membership — $50 a month or $500 a year. Dr. Starsiak does not bill insurance — self-pay means no restrictions and real time with each patient, with care billed at a transparent hourly rate (currently $255/hour). HSA accepted.

Most concierge medicine practices charge $150–$300 or more per month and bundle everything into the fee — whether you use it or not. This practice takes a deliberately leaner approach. The membership covers the thing that actually matters: reaching your own physician directly when something goes wrong. Everything else is billed transparently by the hour, so you pay for the medicine you use.
For $50 a month — or $500 a year, two months free — members get Dr. Starsiak's direct phone line and up to one emergency assessment each month at no additional charge, when the assessment and plan can be completed in a 15-minute call. If a call runs longer, only the time beyond the covered 15 minutes is billed — at the clinic's transparent, time-based rates below.
The membership is optional and available to established patients. For a true, life-threatening emergency, always call 911 first — the membership line exists for everything short of that: the "is this serious?" call that can save an unnecessary emergency-room trip. what an hour costs
Every service is time-based and billed openly. Scheduled care — in the office, at home, or handled over phone and text — is $255 per hour. Phone and text care is $255 per hour whether or not it falls inside normal office hours, scheduled or not. Text care is billed on engaged time — the minutes actually spent reading, thinking, and responding — not the hours a thread stays open. That requires some trust that the time is tracked honestly; it is the same trust you are already extending to the medical judgment itself.
After-hours visits carry a premium that reflects what it takes to be available: $400 per hour when scheduled ahead, and $500 per hour for an unscheduled urgent home visit — the kind of situation that is truly pressing but doesn't belong in an emergency room. For home visits, drive time to and from the office is billed at $255 per hour, and visits are subject to availability.
