Dr. Starsiak thoroughly enjoys sharing his understanding and appreciation of Osteopathy through teaching courses to both Osteopathic and Non-Osteopathic practitioners. He taught Osteopathic Manual Medicine at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-COM) in Indianapolis, IN for 3 years. His favorite topics to lecture on are; "cultivating the healing state", Osteopathy in the Cranial Field, indirect myofascial release, counterstrain, and the role of the body, mind, spirit connection in body work.
In addition to his role at MU-COM, Dr. Starsiak has extensive experience teaching large audiences of 250-500 people from his time working as a "Master Teacher" with Humanity in Unity (HIU). His work with HIU focused on teaching and guiding participants through meditations, visualizations, and energy work as well as developing and leading retreats.
Dr. Starsiak is also a graduate of the Landmark Forum, two separate Landmark Forum Seminar series, and the Landmark Forum Advanced course. These experiences have given him exceptional insight into the road blocks to being effective, the importance of integrity in all we do, and how to create and sustain new possibilities.
Dr. Starsiak has practiced Zen meditation, inspired by his time at the Rochester Zen Center, and Yoga, inspired by his mother, since the age of 14. He has participated in dozens of meditation retreats and has developed a solid understanding of the importance of the mind, body, spirit connection in the healing process.
